Accuracy and Verification
We aim to verify material factual claims before publication. Whenever practical, we prefer primary sources such as official company announcements, regulatory documents, product documentation, public datasets, research papers and direct statements. Secondary sources may be used when they add context or independent reporting.
We do not knowingly publish fabricated quotes, statistics, events, sources or product experiences.
Sourcing and Attribution
We identify sources clearly when attribution improves a reader’s ability to verify a claim. Information taken from another publication should be credited. Anonymous sourcing should be used cautiously and only when the information is sufficiently important and cannot reasonably be obtained on the record.
Corrections and Updates
If we discover a material factual error, we aim to correct it promptly. Substantial corrections or changes that alter the meaning of an article should be made transparently. Routine grammar, formatting and link fixes may be made without a correction note.
Editorial Independence
Advertising, sponsorships, affiliate relationships, partnerships and other commercial arrangements must not determine our independent editorial conclusions. Paid or sponsored material should be clearly identified so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage.
Reviews and Recommendations
Reviews and recommendations should explain the basis for their conclusions, including material limitations. Receiving access to a product, service or event does not guarantee positive coverage. See our Technology Review Policy.
Artificial Intelligence
AI tools may assist with research organization, ideation, transcription, editing or other production tasks. They are not treated as authoritative sources. Material factual claims require appropriate verification, and responsibility for published content remains with TechBrief.Africa.
Conflicts of Interest
Contributors should disclose financial, professional or personal relationships that could reasonably affect coverage. Where a material conflict exists, it should be disclosed to readers or the contributor should not handle the coverage.
Opinion
Opinion and analysis may contain interpretation or argument, but they should still be grounded in accurate factual information. When necessary for clarity, opinion content should be labeled accordingly.
